Our vision
The International Tourism Partnership (ITP) brings together the leading companies in the hospitality industry to demonstrate, in a very practical way, that environmental and social responsibility makes good business sense.
Our aim is to provide the hospitality industry with the knowledge and ability to develop practical solutions for more responsible business.
The International Tourism Partnership provides its members with a non-competitive platform to share knowledge and resources, develop policy and actively implement programmes and initiatives that have a positive impact on economic, social and environmental issues.
ITP has a unique leadership role within the hospitality sector to address the challenges of sustainability.
Eligibility
Currently, membership to ITP is limited to large, multi-national hotel chains such as those displayed on our current members page.
Benefits of membership
Leadership
• The opportunity to drive ITP strategy through representation on the ITP Governing Council and Executive Committee;
• ITP provides a pivotal interface to participate in policy development and influence the framework conditions under which companies operate, through engagement with organisations such as UNWTO, WTTC and GRI;
• Educate and influence tomorrow’s leaders in tourism globally by sharing best practice and exchanging information with peers from a cross-section of industries and countries;
• High-level representation at major hotel investment forums and other industry conferences.
Collective action
ITP's working groups aim to tackle emerging sustainability issues that are identified by our membership. For example, ITP are currently leading working groups on the following topics:
1. Carbon measurement (co-lead by the World Travel & Tourism Council)- view the press release issued by this working group here.
2. Human trafficking- view ITP's human trafficking statement here.
3. Sustainability criteria in the RFP process- read the ITP report here.
Practical Solutions
